Celebrate Spring

I don't know about you, but I am so glad spring is here!  To me, spring feels like a celebration; of life, energy, awakening.  It is my favorite season for walks.  The budding flora, lush with life is a sight to behold.  Like silent fireworks frozen in time.  The forgotten feeling of sun on my skin renews my passion for the out of doors.  Fragrant breezes, quiet rains, hypnotizing sunsets. Ram Dass is one of my favorite authors/speakers.  In this book he talks about aging and the process which is inevitable in all of us.  It is insightful, humorous and full of great advice on how to take responsibility for your own well-being as you grow older.   I recommend it as a source to open your eyes to our "Agist" society, which respects fast information over solid wisdom.   He shows how our culture basically shuns the elderly and casts them aside as useless, rather than view them as respected wise people, as they do in other cultures.  We have a lot to learn from people who have thrived for many years.

Thank You!
